• All renters are required to sign a rental and waiver agreement prior to their session.
  • Life jackets must be worn at all times while on the water.
  • Stand-Up Paddleboarders must also wear the leash at all times when on the water.
  • Water shoes are recommended for safety.
  • Renters must be 18 years or older. Minors under 18 must have a parent or guardian present with them on the water and have the waiver signed on their behalf.
  • Renters must be able to swim. Please note that Morris Creek/Long Island Sound is a fast-moving body of water, and caution must be exercised at all times.
  • Renters must stay clear of the boat channel, located in the middle of the waterway. Paddlers should remain to the right of the channel when going out and returning to the dock, and always stay aware of their surroundings.
  • Renters are expected to be ready to enter the water at their reserved time. We are not responsible for delays caused by renters being unprepared. Charges begin at the start of the reservation time.
  • Late returns beyond 15 minutes will incur an additional fee equivalent to a half-hour charge.
  • Renters are fully responsible for any loss or damage to the rental equipment, including missing or unreturned items. Any equipment not returned will be charged at its full replacement value.
  • Saltie Dog Rentals is not responsible for lost or damaged personal belongings brought on the water. We recommend leaving personal items in your vehicle.
  • No refunds will be issued once renters have left the dock due to weather conditions. Our instructors will provide guidance on navigating the weather to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Note: Bridges are highly dangerous. All paddlers must steer clear of them for their safety.
